Logistics Operations Advisor - Freight Payables to join our client's transportation support team in Calgary, AB. You will play a key role in ensuring our client's logistics partners receive accurate and timely payments for Rail, Truck, and Marine freight services.
In this role, you will build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and service providers while managing the end-to-end freight payables process. You will analyze and process invoices, maintain vendor account accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and ensure seamless financial operations within our client's logistics network.

Responsibilities: - Analyze, enter, and manage multiple types of freight invoices for Rail, Truck, and Marine transportation.
- Ensure invoices are processed accurately and payments flow through systems as expected.
- Verify vendor rates, account information, and data accuracy to reduce discrepancies.
- Work directly with Operations teams to understand and resolve freight-related payment issues.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate system issues or inconsistencies affecting invoice processing.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and ensure timely resolution of freight payable concerns.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Communicate clearly and professionally to support timely payment cycles and operational continuity.
- Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address out-of-the-ordinary conditions and prevent issues before they occur.
- Maintain accurate vendor account data, rate tables, and payment information.
- Apply a questioning mindset to identify anomalies and anticipate potential discrepancies.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance freight payables processes and system efficiency.
Qualifications: - Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Accounting/Finance, or a related field.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- SAP experience is strongly preferred.
- A motivated self-starter with a focus on accuracy, results, and continuous improvement.
- Detail-driven mindset and strong analytical abilities.
- Comfortable supporting large volumes of data and invoices.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced logistical environment and resolving complex issues
- Mu st be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
