The challenges that await you
As an operations and systems support advisor, you act as a super-user and provide operational support for a set of systems and applications in your area of expertise, ensure ongoing training for business users and other process experts in your administrative unit, and coordinate within your service regarding the definition and development of various maintenance, evolution, and transformation needs for the technology solutions for which your service is responsible.
You validate and monitor data integrity and ensure quality and relevance for the systems and applications in your area of expertise. You are also required to monitor and coordinate various access requests to the technology solutions you support.
You produce various management reports, feed dashboards, and participate in a range of large-scale projects in the development, integration, and implementation of solutions and technological platforms in your business area.
Finally, you coordinate activities related to business process mapping and participate in their optimization.
And more specifically:
- You coordinate all steering activities and represent your administrative unit regarding maintenance, evolution, and transformation projects of the systems and applications in your area of expertise to ensure optimal performance and operational quality of the systems.
- You analyze requests for changes, modifications, and/or additions to the systems and applications in your area of expertise, propose solutions to support business processes, and actively participate in testing to ensure quality of technology solutions from a business and user perspective. You ensure integration and follow up on approved changes, modifications, and additions in line with business priorities.
- You conduct preliminary analysis on issues and/or anomalies reported by users of the systems and applications in your area of expertise, propose solutions, make corrections as needed, or seek the contribution of the Innovation and Technology Service or service providers. You ensure follow-up on resolutions to various issues, problems, and/or anomalies in line with business priorities.
- You are responsible for developing and modifying various management reports and dashboards to meet recurring or one-time needs. You provide support to users who generate and/or consult certain reports themselves.
- You organize and participate in meetings, discussions, or gatherings with employees from other divisions or City Services and/or representatives from external organizations to examine issues relevant to your area of expertise and find appropriate solutions.
The ideal profile for us
- Hold a bachelor's degree in administration – concentration in information systems, a bachelor's degree in management information systems, or any other relevant field;
- Have four (4) years of relevant experience in the role, including:
- In steering IT systems in all its facets;
- In extracting and processing ERP database (Oracle type);
- In managing and administering SharePoint sites and using the Microsoft Office Suite;
- In developing and delivering training and information programs to various users;
- In producing various reports and presentations;
- In operating and analyzing data with Microsoft Power BI or comparable tools is desirable.
