Program Management Lead - C13 - Mississauga

The Program Management Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. The team you will join is responsible for executing transformative programs that impact Citi's Markets businesses by providing data-driven insights and subject matter expertise in data analysis to ensure projects deliver significant business value.

This role is an excellent fit for a data-focused technologist looking for greater exposure to enterprise-level data strategy and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will have a strong data analytics background, project management experience, and a deep understanding of financial markets. You will be comfortable working in rapid iterations, collaborating with stakeholders and domain experts, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities:

• Drive the execution of strategic, data-centric deliverables across multiple projects, including large-scale regulatory programs.
• Conduct end-to-end data analysis—from database retrieval to final presentation—using SQL, Python, and/or R to generate insights that support business decisions within the Markets domain.
• Translate complex data findings into clear, compelling narratives and actionable insights for stakeholders through effective data storytelling, visualization, and presentation skills.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on data analysis, providing guidance on business initiatives to ensure alignment with program strategy and best practices in data management.
• Manage internal and external project dependencies, working closely with Risk Managers, Product Owners, Front Office, Product Control, and Technology teams.
• Proactively identify, resolve, and escalate risks and issues in a timely and clear manner by engaging relevant stakeholders.
• Utilize modern AI tooling to enhance project workflows and outcomes.

Qualifications:

• 6-10 years of relevant industry experience with a strong, proven track record in data analysis.
• Proficiency in data analytics and programming, including expert-level SQL
• Demonstrated experience in a business-facing role, using data to add value and drive business intelligence.
• Excellent data storytelling ability, with experience summarizing key messages through effective aggregations and visuals.
• Strong knowledge of data management practices, including relational database normalization and data governance.
• Solid understanding of financial markets, including Market Risk, Finance, and Capital concepts.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex findings persuasively to senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, follow-up, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to drive change in business practices by working effectively across a global organization.

Education & Skills:

• Familiarity with Python, Git, Jira is useful
• A solid understanding of modern data stacks and architectural patterns.
• Experience managing projects related to Capital Markets, Market Risk, or regulatory initiatives.
• Bachelor’s/University degree; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Project Management certification (, PMP or equivalent).
