Salary Range: $55,451 - $69,314

- Work Model: While this a remote opportunity, the role will require travel across the province of BC to visit our long term care homes for visibility and support to our frontline managers and team members
What You’ll Be Doing: As Regional Team Member Experience Coordinator (HR) you will form an understanding of Team Member (TM) needs at the community level for your region to provide HR administrative support. You will build relationships with Department Managers and work closely alongside the Executive Directors in your Region. Reporting to the Vice President, Regional Operations, you will be a strong contributor to enhance and support employee engagement, onboarding and orientation and perform HR activities pertaining to all areas of the employee life cycle while responding to Team Member requests as they arise. Frequent travel across BC Interior region (Kamloops and Kelowna) is required.
Administration:
- Manage all TM Files for performance, discipline, medical notes, grievances and other documentation as appropriate.
- Record retention compliance: Ensure all files are located in a locked filing cabinet accessible by RTMEC/ED
Payroll & Benefits Administration
- Supports the Ultipro Payroll and ComVida Scheduling Systems
- Timely and accurate data input
- Provide benefits manual to new TMs
- Field questions with regards to payroll and benefits entitlements
- Walk through benefits sign up as needed
- Review benefits invoice with OM, remove/update TMs as required.
- Follow up on TM on LOA for benefits reimbursement
Communication:
- Schedule Town Halls and maintain agendas and follow up items
- Ensure Daily Huddles taking place
- Post information on CREW, bulletin boards, and other communication platforms as directed
- Coordinate TM events, retention, recognition, and wellness events
Investigations and Disciplinary:
- Attend investigation interviews, take minutes, coordinate union attendance, assist manager with disciplinary forms in consultation with HRBP
- Maintain disciplinary files, track all disciplinary progression in consultation with Manager and HRBP
Labour Relations:
- Collaborate with Managers to ensure CBA followed, manage and track grievances, schedule grievance meetings and Labour/Management meetings in consultation with ED and HRBP
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition Specialists to ensure effective recruitment plan, maintain job postings, and participate in interviews for management & non-management positions.
- Smooth hand-off of new hires from TA to community
- Coordinate and deliver orientation program, processes and training in conjunction with applicable Managers
Retention:
- Roll out of employee engagement initiatives and programs
- Conduct Exit Interviews with non-management staff, share results with ED, HRBP
OH&S, Attendance and Return to Work administration:
- Active member of the JH&S Committee
- Manage Worksafe Clams, Leave of Absence management, coordinating with Claims Management, HRBP and OH&S Team
- Ensure Attendance Management program is rolled-out, review daily attendance, draft letters, attend meetings, etc.
- Assists in implementing the Team Member Attendance Management Program.
- Generate and distribute turnover, recruitment, Health & Safety, LOA’s, and absences
Training & Education Compliance:
- Ensure TMs are completing required education (compliance list to be provided by online learning platform lead)
- Follow up with TMs who are not in compliance via template letters
Who you are:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in human resources; training & onboarding, scheduling and payroll
- A post-secondary education in Human Resources or equivalent
- Experience working in an unionized environment
- Experience with computerized payroll and software (Ultipro, Comvida or any other scheduling software)
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
