Java Support

Role: Java Support

Location: Canada, Remote

Contract

• Technically strong Senior resource, greater than 8 years of experience, with Support Experience
• Education: Minimum BTech
• Problem solver and solution provider
• Individual Contributor
• Need Excellent communication, should be able to communicate well with customer and end users as needed.

Support needed for an in-house web application, to provide following services:

• Maintenance and support (break-fix / M&S) - in EST time zone
• Development activities
• Updates of tools used once a year (libraries)

Required skills

Operating system:

• Linux/Ubuntu
• Crontab
• File system mounts

Version Control: SVN Tortoise

Database:

• MySQL

Backend:

• Mandatory: Object-oriented programming, Java, SQL
• Nice to have: Tomcat, Hibernate, Jersey (JAX-RS)

Frontend:

• Mandatory: Javascript, HTML, CSS
• Nice to have: SCSS, KendoUI
