Job Description

Position: Saw Operator

Location: Oakville, ON (Speers/Bronte)

Payrate: DOE

1 for the morning shift (6:am to 2:pm 8hrs, 5-day week – Monday to Friday)

1 for the afternoon shift 2: pm to : am 4 days a week Monday to Thursday)

Permanent after 3 months of probation

Responsibilities •Set up saw machines and make necessary adjustments for each job •Install stops or guides to specified lengths •Operate saw machines, monitoring for defects or issues during operation •Use measurement tools to ensure product accuracy •Assist in packing and transporting finished pieces •Accurately complete job-related paperwork •Support team operations as needed •CNC and drill experience considered an asset •Experience working with steel, mills, and drills preferred •Work overtime and shifts as required Education and Experience •Prior work experience in working with sheet metal •High school or equivalent Key Competencies •Responsible and reliable •Stand and walk on concrete up to % of work day •Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and crouch •Physically capable of performing the essential duties and responsibilities of the position including regular lifting and carrying of 5- kgs •Ability to use hands to reach and to handle or feel •Manual dexterity in hands for tool usage •Ability to visibly inspect product •Will be trained on crane/hoist and/or forklift as required •Work well under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment •Good interpersonal skills; customer focused and a team player
