About the role

The Contracts Specialist, Academic plays a critical role in supporting enterprise-level sales, renewals and partnerships for the Henry Schein One Academic team. In this role, you will manage our queue of legal and compliance requests from internal teams and customers and coordinate with our legal counsel and information security teams to fulfil those requests. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments including Legal, InfoSec, Sales, and Operations.

This is a hybrid position, with twice per week in the office to support collaboration and team connection. Our office is conveniently located across from Guildford Mall in Surrey, BC.

• Review enterprise client agreements, business associated agreements, amendments, and related documentation.

• Maintain accurate records of contract versions and customer renewals.

• Manage internal legal and information security inquiries using a playbook provided by legal counsel.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prioritize legal and compliance requests and timelines.

• Provide guidance to internal teams on usage of appropriate contract templates.

• Update documentation as instructed by Legal and Compliance teams.

• Support governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) initiatives, including audits and internal assessments.

• Assist in maintaining customer-facing compliance documentation for enterprise clients.

• Facilitate communication and coordination between Procurement, Legal, InfoSec, and other internal teams to resolve legal & compliance issues.

• Identify potential legal and compliance risks and escalate as needed.

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.

• 3+ years in operations and contract management within a software or technology company.

• Familiarity with enterprise SaaS/software customer and partnership agreements.

• Strong organizational and project management skills.

• Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

• Experience with Salesforce and project management tools an asset

Compensation & Benefits
The posted range for this position is between $82,500 CAD - $100,125 CAD which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient and experienced in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience, training, current skills, certifications & education etc.
