Controller Recruitment Partners is on the search for a Controller to join our esteemed client’s team. The Controller will work closely with CFO and senior management team on development of KPI reporting that support management decision-making. The successful candidate will be a proactive, self-starter who is comfortable working with technology and software.
Your Success will be defined by your ability to: - Review and oversight of month-end close activities for multiple legal entities.
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for multiple entities.
- Ensure reporting and internal control framework is in place to support scalable growth of legacy business lines and upcoming acquisitions.
- Support CFO on Joint Venture accounting as needed
- Lead annual budgeting and planning process.
- Review and approve GST and other tax-related filings.
- Support and monitor insurance and risk management practices. Including oversight of internal controls.
- Work closely with the CFO, Information systems manager, and the rest of the leadership team on system and process development.
- Working closely and being the primary business unit contact for the central shared services team, including payroll & HR.
- Lead other special projects as assigned.
Your strengths include: - Post-secondary diploma or equivalent education and professional accounting designation with at least two years experience as a Controller;
- Strong technical accounting, modeling, and excel skills
- A pro-active, self-starter, comfortable working with technology and software
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to see the big picture and prioritize objectives appropriately
- Ability to recognize unknowns and identify organizational risks
- Collaboration skills with the ability to communicate comfortably with a wide variety of stakeholders
