Job description
I am a 79-year-old male with a delicate heart condition. I live in Markham, ONat McCowan & BurOak. I am currently stable following an ablation procedure and new medication. I am mobile and still do most of my own chores, but I now need reliable assistance and support. I am looking for someone who can help me with doctor’s appointments and, if needed, assist in communicating with 911, paramedics, Markham Stouffville Hospital, and Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket. Typical tasks would include: * Driving me to errands, doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping, and, if necessary, the Emergency Department at Markham Stouffville Hospital * Light cleaning and keeping the home tidy * Laundry and dishwashing — I have a dishwasher * Preparing simple meals, ideally North American, French, Italian, Greek, Mediterranean, or Middle Eastern style * Helping with basic household organization You would stand out if you are comfortable using computers, including Windows 11, Microsoft Office 365, web searches, and basic online research. The typical schedule would be **6 hours per day, 4 or 5 days per week**. Occasionally, when I am alone and require 24-hour monitoring, the schedule may change to a **day shift from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.** A nurse would cover the night shift from **7:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.** I will, of course, answer any questions and provide additional details as needed. For lifestyle compatibility, it would be helpful to have someone comfortable with a European, Mediterranean, Latin, or Middle Eastern household style, including food, culture, and communication preferences.
