Role Overview The Nurse Manager supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical services, staff supervision, resident care coordination, medication management, and regulatory compliance. This role plays a key part in ensuring high-quality care and a safe, supportive environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities Clinical & Administrative Oversight -
Supervise nursing staff, caregivers, and medication assistants

Provide coverage in the absence of the Director of Nursing

Monitor staffing assignments and clinical coverage

Participate in interdisciplinary meetings
Resident Care & Documentation -
Assist with pre-admission evaluations and Individualized Service Plans (ISPs)

Conduct resident assessments and document changes in condition
-
Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation
-
Coordinate care with physicians, pharmacies, hospice, rehab, and home health
Medication Management -
Oversee medication ordering, storage, and administration
-
Ensure compliance with medication protocols
Quality Assurance & Compliance -
Participate in QA meetings and audits
-
Maintain compliance with policies and regulatory standards
-
Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
Communication & Operations -
Communicate with families and care partners
-
Support resident care coordination and operational needs
-
Assist with emergency preparedness and drills
Qualifications -
Active New York RN license

Bachelor's degree preferred
-
3+ years supervisory or leadership experience in senior living or healthcare (Senior Care or Memory Care experience preferred)

Proficiency in EHR systems and Microsoft Office

Ability to work flexible schedules
Physical & Professional Requirements -
Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive hand movements

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and assist with mobility if needed
