Azure Site Reliability Engineer

Job Title: Azure Site Reliability Engineer
Location: Montreal (Day 1 onboarding onsite / in office presence 3x week)
Duration:12 Months Contract

Experience Level:

• Level 3 (senior): 5-7 years

Primary Responsibilities:

• Hands-on development and design of Python applications.
• Enhance and integrate the CSP automation framework with in-house tooling (Azure initially).
• Integrate automation workflows into CI/CD pipelines.
• Produce proof of concepts in new areas of development.
• Provide technical support for debugging (on-prem and cloud) application failures in production systems.
• Participate in all aspects of SDLC (analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment).
• Evaluate and implement emerging DevOps tools.
• Build and integrate observability into cloud platforms and solutions.
• Highlight and reduce toil with automation, architecture improvements, and process improvements.

Required Skills:

• Experience with Python and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and Ansible).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions and Jenkins).
• Solid understanding of object-oriented design and development.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments.
• Proficient with DB technologies (preferably NoSQL) including modeling, testing, and tuning.
• Ability to write reusable, optimized, and maintainable code that is well-documented and follows industry-standard best practices.
• Implementing open-source observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry).

• Phone interview on Python fundamentals and coding assessment.
• One phone and in-person interview.
