Summary: Our Thunder Bay location is hiring for Sample Preparation Technicians to assist us in preparing samples for laboratory analysis.
The schedule for this role will be 12 hour shifts 4 days on, 4 days off rotational days and nights .
Schedules will be 8 PM - 8 AM or 8 AM - 8 PM.
The expected wage for this position is $20.00-$27.00/hr. What you will be doing: Unpack, sort, check, crush and pulverize mineral samples using specialized equipment Safely follow standard operating procedures, and perform quality control checks as required Enter sample data into computer, ensuring accurate details What you bring to the table: High School Diploma Fork Lift certification/license is an asset Ability to lift 25 kg on a consistent basis Hand-Eye coordination and attention to detail Intermediate computer skills Fluency in English, both verbal and written Ability to handle multiple tasks within a fast-paced work environment Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a mature work ethic Problem solving, communication, organization, and time management Commitment to the production of accurate and timely results Must be able to wear a respirator and other PPE properly and follow all safety protocols Must be flexible to work day and night shifts including weekends on a 4 days on 4 days off rotation Who We Are: AGAT Laboratories is a premier full-service laboratory operating at the cutting edge of science and innovation across North America.
