Who We Are
Nee Tahi Buhn First Nation is located at Francois Lake, British Columbia, with 4 reserves all located within 10 km of the south shore of Francois Lake. Nee Tahi Buhn is home to an ancient culture, a rugged history and a vibrant present. Our community is made up of approximately 140 members and we are committed to preserving and promoting our traditional language, culture and way of life.
At Nee Tahi Buhn, we strive to cultivate a positive environment in which members of all ages can learn, grow and thrive. We place a great deal of importance on preserving our culture and traditions, which are deeply embedded in our language, arts and ceremonies. Through language revitalization programs, and local sustainable social enterprise projects, we continue to honor our past and move towards a brighter future.
The Nee Tahi Buhn First Nation is guided by a dedicated team of leaders, including a Chief, two Councillors, and a Deputy Chief, all elected by our community to serve four-year terms. These leaders are committed to making decisions that benefit our community while ensuring that our cherished traditions and culture are preserved for future generations.
Overview of the Role
As the General Manager, you will lead the Nee Tahi Buhn Indian Band Administration with a commitment to implementing the vision and goals of the Band while embodying and modeling its values and guiding principles. This pivotal leadership role is responsible for coordinating, reporting, and administering executive and administrative policies, and ensuring the effective delivery of all Band programs and services to the community. Reporting directly to Chief and Council, the General Manager will oversee financial operations, cultivate a positive work culture, supervise Band employees, and ensure the successful implementation of community programs and services. The successful candidate will also foster communication and connections within the community, contributing to the overall well-being and development of the Nee Tahi Buhn community.
Status : Permanent full-time
Schedule : Monday to Friday, some weekends and evenings
Other : Some travel will be required
Location : In-person is preferred, however there is a potential for a hybrid arrangement
Who You Are
You are a very strong people leader with the ability to build and lead collaborative, motivated, effective and efficient teams. You have a demonstrated history of developing accountable teams who contribute to an inclusive workplace environment.
You also bring a wealth of experience in financial management, creating, managing and balancing budgets keeping the long term vision in mind. You are also a strong administrator with a deep understanding of and respect for First Nations cultures, traditions, history and concerns, as well as a desire to uphold the Nee Tahi Buhn traditions and culture.

Salary : $85 – $120,000.00 per annum
Three weeks annual vacation (6% accrual)
An additional paid time off during the festive season
