The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Type III Pilot Instructor to join our Customer Services organization based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada). You will represent Airbus Canada in front of the customers, operators, and authorities, and will be part of the Airbus Canada Training Centre responsible for conceiving, building, and delivering the best flight training and flight operations support to ensure safe, efficient, and effective operation of the Airbus aircraft.

Le programme d'avions commerciaux A220 recherche un(e) Pilote Instructeur Type III pour rejoindre notre organisation Services Clients basée à Mirabel (Québec, Canada). Vous représenterez Airbus Canada auprès des clients, des opérateurs et des autorités. Vous travaillerez avec différentes équipes à travers le monde et aurez l'occasion de développer votre expertise dans divers domaines et rôles, y compris des postes de gestion / projet.

Responsibilities

• Conduct line training or line checking for Airbus A220.
• Deliver simulator training or simulator checking for Airbus Canada, primarily in Dorval.
• Support the TFOS community (Training & Flight Operations Services).
• Provide support for office activities on demand.
• Ensure best possible training & checking to guarantee safe and efficient entry‑into‑service and operation of Airbus A220 (BD‑500).
• Work on projects on demand within the framework of TFOS.
• Represent Airbus Canada Training and Manufacturer in front of the customer, supporting them during flight periods and identifying potential problems.
• Act as team leader during Initial Operating Experience, coordinating with the Airbus Canada team and the airline.
• Ensure standardization, development, and management tasks during your career within Airbus Canada.
• Maintain and upgrade your competencies according to your qualification.

Qualifications

• Hold an ICAO Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) issued by EASA, TCCA, or FAA.
• Hold a valid EASA TRI, FAA Flight Instructor Aircraft, or TCCA Instructor Appointment on BD‑500.
• Hold a Valid Medical Class 1.
• English language proficiency rating of at least 4; fluent in English.
• Hold a Low Visibility Operations qualification.
• Hold or have held an ETOPS qualification.
• Flight hours experience:
  • Minimum 5,000 hours as Pilot.
  • Minimum 3,000 hours on a large jet (over 50t MTOW).
  • Minimum 1,000 hours as Captain on Airbus aircraft.
  • Minimum 500 hours instructor experience in FFS on large aircraft.
  • Minimum 500 hours as Captain assigned to conduct LIFUS/IOE.
• A significant part of the instructor experience must be initial type rating oriented.
• Qualified and experienced as Captain and Flight Instructor on BD‑500.
• Examiner experience (an asset).
• Significant Commercial Airline Experience.
• Evidence‑based training/competence assessment expertise.
• Project management mindset.
• Management experience (an asset).
• Flight safety experience (an asset).
