Main Responsibilities
The Human Resources Coordinator supports management and employees across all activities related to personnel management. They play a key role in recruitment, onboarding, training, and employee engagement.
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Manage part of the recruitment process: job postings, screening applications, interviews, and offers of employment.
- Plan and coordinate the onboarding of new employees (documentation, training, company materials, etc.).
HR Administration
- Maintain up-to-date employee files and ensure that certifications (trade cards, ASP Construction, training, etc.) remain valid.
- Draft contracts, letters, and administrative documents related to personnel management.
- Support management in reviewing timesheets and payroll follow-up.
Communication and Engagement
- Act as a resource person for employees regarding internal policies and group benefits.
- Contribute to the planning of employee recognition activities and help promote a positive work environment.
- Participate in developing a company-wide training plan and coordinate training sessions.
- Create an annual corporate events calendar for all offices.
- Participate in continuous improvement of HR practices and updating of internal policies.
Desired Profile
- College or university degree in Human Resources Management, Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 to 5 years’ experience in an HR role, ideally in construction or a similar environment.
- Strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and understanding of the specific realities of the construction industry.
- Since 50% of the company’s clients and partners are in Ontario, the role requires excellent proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written.
- Good knowledge of labor laws and health & safety requirements.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR management software/tools.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
