Our Whitby clinic is looking for a full-time Kinesiologist to complement our talented interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
- Treat MVA, LTD, WSIB and private patients in a gym setting
- Work under the direction of the Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist regarding treatment, progression, and client management
- Design and implement a therapeutic exercise program to meet identified client needs
- Complete employer assessments such as PDA, POET, and FAE to confirm job capability of essential demands
- Prepare progress and discharge reports delegated by the treating clinician
- Assist the treating clinician with return‑to‑work planning
- Ensure the gym area is presentable, organized and free of safety hazards
Qualifications
- Degree in Kinesiology or Human Kinetics
- Registration in good standing with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario
- Excellent time management, organization, and ability to work independently
- Ability to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Desire to work hard to improve your skills
- Empathy and ability to build rapport with patients
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience in interdisciplinary care considered an asset
- Experience with chronic pain, concussion management and chronic conditions considered an asset
