Opportunity

Leavitt Machinery is looking for a Service Manager to join our team in Surrey, BC. As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing the performance of the local Service department and team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the performance and development of the Service department staff, including driving accountability of the team members, staffing the department appropriately, and facilitating proper training.
  • Partner with the Human Resources department on labour related and sensitive personnel issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by leading or supporting LEAN initiatives, improving the overall efficiency of the department.
  • Proactively manage the Service fleet as it relates to vehicle purchases, replacements, repairs and maintenance.
  • Conduct weekly toolbox meetings with the local Parts and Service teams.
  • Work in partnership with other Internal Business Units to develop and grow key customer accounts while generating new business and revenue streams.
  • Actively address customer service issues and customer disputes.
  • Closely manage Key Performance Indicators that relate to the Service department.
  • Strategically analyze financial statements, utilizing them as a tool to drive the profitability of the department.
  • Advocate and drive compliance on all corporate safety initiatives, policies, and programs.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of proven supervisory experience.
  • Post‑secondary education in sales, business, management, or a related discipline preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery or materials handling equipment is considered an asset.
  • Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Superior skills in organization and planning.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Adept at managing conflicting priorities in parallel.
  • Confident self‑starter and team player.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma considered an asset.

The base pay range for this role is: $90,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus an annual bonus.

This is an onsite role based in Surrey, BC.
