Reporting to Director - Legal Services and City Clerk’s office, the Advisor - Legal Services and City Clerk contributes to the achievement of the mission of the Legal Services and City Clerk Department by providing professional legal support to the municipal organization.
The incumbent participates in the analysis and application of the applicable legislative and regulatory framework, in the preparation and review of the City’s legal documents, in handling contentious cases, and in supporting municipal services. The person also collaborates in the continuous improvement of legal practices, processes, and tools, with a focus on compliance, sound governance, and risk management.
