Profile: Our client is a manufacturer of industrial monitoring and measurement products sold primarily to municipalities. We are looking for an energetic territory manager who is used to selling to municipalities. This role focuses on selling to public- and some private-sector customers while supporting and training distributor partners within an assigned territory. This is an excellent opportunity for a sales professional who enjoys working in the field and helping customers solve real operational challenges. The candidate must have experience selling to municipalities.

Functions:
- Grow sales, market share, and profitability within the assigned territory in line with company goals.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline by identifying new opportunities and supporting existing accounts.
- Develop and execute sales and account plans to meet annual revenue targets.
- Manage distributor relationships by creating joint business plans, making joint sales calls, and setting achievable sales goals.
- Review territory coverage to ensure effective direct and distributor support and identify areas for growth.
- Provide high-quality service to customers and distributors, including support with deliveries, returns, credits, and warranty claims.
- Maintain a solid understanding of the product offering and how it is used in customer operations.
Requirements:
Development vs Maintenance: 60% vs 30%
Road vs Office: 50% vs 50%
Languages: English and French fluent oral and written proficiency
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
Training: On the job training provided
Overnight Travel: less than 15% overnight travel requirement
Years of experience: 3+ years of related sales experience preferred
Other requirements: Experience selling a technical product is preferred
Transferable contacts: Experience selling to municipalities is a must
Transferable Knowledge: Knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Outlook, Word, and Excel)
