Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and creative Screenwriter who understands the emotional depth of storytelling and believes in the power of narratives to inspire and transform. Every script you write will be seen by thousands—sometimes millions—of people, making the stakes high and the impact real. This role is about more than just writing; it’s about bringing ideas to life, crafting stories that will be made into short films, and pushing the boundaries of storytelling.

We need someone who can deliver high-quality scripts under tight deadlines. This role requires creativity and the ability to work under pressure. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and want to see your stories come to life on screen, this is for you.

This role will begin on a freelance basis, with compensation per project based on experience. However, we see this as a pathway to full-time employment; writers who consistently deliver outstanding work will have the opportunity to join our team permanently.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver standout script ideas, leveraging trending stories to captivate audiences and dominate creative discussions.
• Write and refine scripts under intense deadlines, incorporating feedback swiftly and proactively solving creative challenges with minimal oversight.
• Create dynamic, unforgettable characters with razor-sharp dialogue, gripping hooks, and empowering narratives that leave a lasting impact.
• Develop high-stakes, emotionally charged storylines with powerful turning points that keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
• Produce top-tier, screen-ready scripts that not only engage but also set the standard, resonating deeply with our target audience and beyond.

What you will bring:

• Excellent writing and storytelling skills.
• A team player who collaborates effectively.
• Knowledgeable in scriptwriting techniques.
• Meets deadlines and manages time well.
• Strong research and editing skills.

Assets:

• 2+ years of experience as a scriptwriter in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in a media company / tv production is an asset
• Experience writing scripts for short films
• North American based candidates only (International candidates will not be considered)
