The incumbent will provide clinical addiction services to a primarily adult population; however, as necessary and appropriate, they may also provide services to youth. The primary goal of this position is to restore, maintain, and enhance the recovery of people seeking help with substance use problems by implementing various modalities of addiction recovery therapies. These services will be delivered through a combination of direct services, consultation, community resource development, and education. Responsibilities include providing informational programming, individual and group counseling with relevant family and community members, assessing individual and group needs of clients, and implementing treatment plans to assist clients in reaching their recovery goals. The incumbent assists with the development, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of Addiction Services. Other related services include community education and development and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
