Assistant Superintendent

Position Description : Clark Builders is hiring an Assistant Superintendent for a project in Fort McMurray! The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for supervising trade employees assigned to a particular construction discipline or work area.Reporting to : SuperintendentDuties and Responsibilities : * Assist in planning work schedule(s) and determining and maintaining workforce requirements, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc.* Ensure all work is completed in compliance with Clark Builders safety policies and procedures* Identify hazards and correct any unsafe conditions* Lead QA / QC checks and inspections* Lead site specific orientations and tailgate meetings* Draft and submit RFI’s* Assume control of the site if the Superintendent is off site* Other duties as required* Represent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner* Adhere to Clark Builders policies and procedures.Skills and Knowledge : * Experience working under the Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) model* The ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints and communicate this information to others* Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills are essential.* Conflict resolution* The capability to work outside in extreme weather conditions depending on the season* Technologically proficient, with the ability to use multiple software systems and platforms.* Proficient in Procore construction management software.Qualifications : * Journeyperson trade certification* 8+ years of construction experience* Valid first aid certificate an asset* Valid Fall Protection, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 is an asset* Competitive wages and vacation pay.* Living Out Allowance (LOA) provided to eligible employees.* Opportunity to work overtime hours.* Flex Spending Account.* Boot Allowance.* Paid Birthday / Personal Day Off.* Preferred Partner Perks.* Employer RRSP Matching program.* Employee and Family Assistance (EFAP) program.* Comprehensive health and benefits plan.* Employee referral program – earn a cash bonus if the candidate you refer passes their 90-day probation.Comments : Environmental aspects (weather, heights, etc.) play an important role for this position since work is often outdoors.\*Please note this is a safety sensitive position.that’s making a real impact.Recruitment Fraud Alert Clark Builders Group of Companies (CBGOC) is aware of fraudulent job offers and interview requests falsely made in our name, targeting international job seekers.
