We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly motivated Strategy & Operations Analyst to join our team. The Strategy & Operations Analyst will play a critical role in supporting Shake Shack Canada’s expansion by driving key strategic and operational initiatives—with a focus on development. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role where you’ll help implement the company’s growth strategy, optimize restaurant performance, and support data-driven decision-making.

You’ll work closely with leadership, operations, and key stakeholders to bridge big-picture strategy with day-to-day execution.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

• Support the development of Shake Shack Canada’s multi-year growth plan, including market analysis, location planning, and business case modeling
• Support strategic initiatives and special projects (e.g., pricing strategies, new formats, partnerships, new business opportunities)
• Build business cases to support investment decisions in operations, real estate, and growth initiatives
• Conduct market research, trade area assessments, and competitive analysis to support site selection and market prioritization
• Liaise with brokers, landlords, and real estate partners to identify, evaluate, and prioritize new location opportunities
• Assist in negotiating and reviewing leases and other commercial agreements in collaboration with legal and development teams
• Prepare real estate packages, presentations, and supporting documents for executive and HQ approvals
• Analyze new store performance against projections and provide insights to inform future real estate strategy

Stakeholder Reporting & Communications

• Prepare high-quality presentations, memos, and reports for internal and external stakeholders including global leadership, real estate partners, and the board
• Translate complex data and strategic insights into clear, actionable narratives for cross-functional teams
• Coordinate cross-functional inputs for monthly and quarterly business and financial reviews and strategic updates

Business & Operations Analytics

• Monitor KPIs and operational performance for restaurant locations; identify insights and areas for improvement
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and tools that support decision-making across the business
• Analyze customer, sales, and traffic data to support strategic planning and ongoing performance management

Qualifications & Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in strategy, real estate, consulting, corporate development, business operations, or accounting
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.); experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) is a plus
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed with excellent project management skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across levels and functions
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Passion for the hospitality or foodservice industry is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Real Estate, Finance or a related field
