Position Responsibilities, Accountabilities And Job Duties
- Performing underground mining activities in a safe and efficient manner
- Operating underground mobile equipment and/or hand‑held tools as required
- Installing ground support and following ground control procedures
- Drilling, blasting, mucking, and hauling material as assigned
- Completing development and/or production tasks according to mine plans
- Conducting pre‑operational equipment inspections and reporting deficiencies
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area underground
- Complying with all company policies, procedures, and applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations
Qualifications And Experience
- Previous underground mining experience in one or more of the listed roles is considered an asset
- Valid common core modules for underground mining
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to safely operate underground mining equipment relevant to the role
- Strong understanding of underground safety practices and procedures
- Physically capable of performing manual labor in an underground environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to work rotating shifts in a remote camp environment
Working Conditions / Schedule
Location: Eagle River Mine, near Wawa, ON
Shift / Hours of Work: 10‑hour shifts
Schedule / Rotation: 10/11
Type of Hire: Permanent, full‑time
