We’re looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our client’s team as a Bookkeeper in Beamsville, ON!

In this contract role until May, you’ll help our client with their full-cycle accounting and booking needs.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain accurate financial records through bookkeeping practices.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify cash balances and transactions.
• Assist in account analysis to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
• Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Utilize accounting software effectively to streamline bookkeeping tasks.
• Support accountants in busy tax season through timely bookkeeping.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles.
• Proficiency in Sage50.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports accurately.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.

What Would be a Bonus:

• Experience with Quickbooks
• Experience with personal tax preparation and filing.
• Experience with payroll processing.

Compensation:

• Hourly rate of $24.00/hour + 4% vacation pay
