Job description
Role Name: Data Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Data Engineer (Snowflake/DBT) | Toronto, Canada (Onsite)
- Experience: years
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and DBT for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data solutions. (Must Have)
- Proficient in SQL for complex data extraction, transformation, validation, and performance optimization.
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data integration, and data quality processes.
- Ability to collaborate with business and technology teams to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data accuracy, reliability, and performance.
- Python programming experience would be an asset. (Nice to Have)
- P&C Insurance domain knowledge is desirable. (Nice to Have)
- Understanding of end-to-end data architecture, including data ingestion, transformation, storage, governance, and consumption layers, is preferred.
- Exposure to data modeling, data warehousing, and reporting/analytics ecosystems is beneficial.
