Project Manager

Position Summary

Vizsla Silver is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of the Panuco processing plant and associated infrastructure. This role will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the project, from planning and engineering through to construction, commissioning, and handover. The successful candidate will ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. This position is initially based in Vancouver, BC, with a transition to full-time basing in Mazatlán, Mexico, for the construction and commissioning phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall delivery of the Panuco processing plant and associated infrastructure, including site preparation, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop and execute project plans, integrating inputs from consultants, contractors, and internal teams to achieve project objectives.
• Manage project risks, schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring alignment with Vizsla Silver's strategic goals.
• Oversee cross-functional teams, including cost control, planning, engineering, procurement, and construction professionals.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, local communities, and suppliers, to facilitate smooth project progression.
• Monitor project progress, conduct regular reviews, and implement corrective actions to address variances or issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout all project phases.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, providing direction, performance management, and professional development.
• Instill Vizsla Silver's corporate culture within the team, fostering a positive work environment that emphasizes safety, integrity, and excellence.
• Motivate and train junior employees, promoting skill development and career growth to build a high-performing team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., PMP or equivalent) are highly desirable.
• Proven track record in project management within similar mining projects, with a focus on processing plants and infrastructure development.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience progressing through various project roles, including hands‑on site management.
• Considerable site experience, preferably in Mexico, with a strong understanding of local regulations, cultural dynamics, and operational challenges.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams in multicultural or remote settings.
• Ability to instill corporate values, motivate staff, and mentor younger professionals to achieve team objectives.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and tools for risk assessment and reporting.
• Spanish language skills are desirable to facilitate effective communication with local teams and stakeholders in Mexico.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex projects and present to senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to relocate to Mazatlán, Mexico, during construction and commissioning phases.

Location and Travel

This role is initially based in Vancouver, BC, transitioning to Mazatlán, Mexico, for the construction and commissioning phases. Vizsla Silver supports flexible arrangements to accommodate project needs and work‑life balance.

Salary

Salary range: C$200k-$250k, per annum
