This position is located in Bonnyville, Alberta.We’re looking for a
Project Coordinator to join a well-established contractor in the
commercial construction industry.
Our client delivers high-quality commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, including tenant improvements, mixed-use buildings, schools, universities, restaurants, and other spaces where people live, work, and gather. This role is ideal for someone early in their construction career who has hands-on experience supporting commercial projects and wants to grow within a strong project management team.
Responsibilities - Support PMs and Superintendents on commercial construction projects
- Track schedules, milestones, and project progress
- Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and change orders
- Maintain organized electronic project files and reports
- Update project documentation in Procore
- Assist with proposals, take-offs, and quotes
- Review RFPs, drawings, and specifications
- Monitor progress and help resolve project issues
- Issue and track contracts and required documentation
- Support project financial tracking and post-sale updates
- Assist with close-out, as-builts, lessons learned, and warranties
- Maintain schedule and shop drawing logs
The Successful Candidate Has - 2–5 years of experience in commercial / ICI construction in a project coordination or project administration capacity
- Post-secondary education in engineering, construction management, or a related technical field (preferred)
- Strong understanding of project documentation processes (RFIs, submittals, change orders, shop drawings)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and RFP documents
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous record-keeping ability
- Experience working with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Revizto, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills and customer service mindset
- Technical aptitude and ability to support both project and proposal activities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment
Compensation and Benefits - Salary range: $65,000 – $80,000 CAD, depending on experience
