About the Company Ready to take your career to the next level? Join one of Edmonton's most forward-thinking and award-winning architecture and design firms! This is your chance to be part of a talented team working on some of the most exciting and high-profile projects across a range of sectors—from public and civic buildings to mixed-use and institutional designs. If you're passionate about managing complex projects, collaborating with top-tier professionals, and shaping the future of design, this role is for you. You might be a seasoned contract administrator or an architectural technologist currently doing some CA tasks and wanting to step into contract admin duties on a larger scale and in a more full time capacity.

The Job

As a Contract Administrator, you’ll be at the heart of exciting, large-scale projects, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish. Here’s a sneak peek of what you’ll be tackling:

  • On-Site Leadership: Take charge of site visits and work closely with construction managers, contractors, sub-contractors, and client representatives to keep projects on track and moving forward.
  • Contract Mastery: Oversee change control procedures, manage contracts, and ensure strict adherence to building codes and safety regulations—your role will be essential to maintaining project integrity.
  • Project Excellence: Play a critical role in delivering landmark projects, including public spaces, community developments, and institutional landmarks that will leave a lasting impact.
  • Collaborative Innovation: Work alongside architects and production teams to manage change orders, RFIs, and other critical documentation, ensuring the seamless execution of design concepts.
  • Meticulous Documentation: Take charge of project reporting, ensuring every change, update, and milestone is accurately documented and communicated to the project team.

What You’ll need to succeed:

We’re looking for a passionate and driven professional who has:

  • Education: A Diploma/Certification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience in architecture, with a minimum of 2 years in contract administration, project coordination, or site work. Open to junior candidates with some experience who are eager to grow! Seasoned CA's are welcome to apply, all levels of experience will be considered.
  • Tech-Savvy: Experience with Revit and Microsoft Office Suite is a must. You’ll also need to be comfortable reviewing and marking up shop drawings.
  • Team Player: Strong collaboration skills to work seamlessly with architects, project teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent Communication: Stellar presentation, negotiation, and communication skills—because you’ll be working directly with clients and other key players.
  • Added Bonus: A background in architectural technology or a related technical field would be a fantastic asset.

What You’ll Get in Return:

  • Growth Opportunities: Join one of Western Canada’s top firms and watch your career soar! There are opportunities to take on leadership roles and grow into an Associate position.
  • Professional Development: You’ll receive the support you need for continued learning and professional advancement.
  • Competitive Salary & Benefits: Enjoy a fantastic compensation package, including a competitive salary, bonus, comprehensive benefits, and RRSP contributions.
  • Flexible Work: Enjoy a hybrid work model that gives you the flexibility to balance your work and life.
  • A Collaborative Team: Work alongside a supportive leadership team that truly cares about your success and fosters a culture of innovation.

Ready to Make Your Move? Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity! If you’re excited about making an impact in the architecture world and working on some of the most exciting projects in the industry, apply now or send your resume directly to Laura Shalev at lshalev@talentsphere.ca. We look forward to hearing from you!
