2026 Geology Department Summer Students

Alamos Gold’s Young-Davidson Mine is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest underground gold mines. We are seeking enthusiastic and safety‑focused Geology Summer Students to join our Technical Services team for the upcoming summer term. This role offers hands‑on exposure to exploration and production geology within an active mining operation. Students will gain experience in field data collection, core logging, sampling, mapping, and supporting geological interpretations that guide daily mine planning and production.
Students will work closely with geologists, technicians, surveyors, and operational crews to build practical skills and understanding of geological processes in a real mining environment.

The company reserves the right to determine final selection and number of summer students hired. In the event, there are more applicants, than number of positions available, the Company will determine selection, based on previous site experience, good standing with grades and preference for students pursuing or currently enrolled in a course of study that is related to the mining industry.
To be eligible to apply, student must be a minimum of 16 years of age to work on surface and 18 years of age to work in underground operations.
