JOB DESCRIPTION

Ekkinox is seeking an afternoon dispatcher to support LTL pick-up and delivery operations across the GTA. This role is suited to someone who works well in a fast-paced terminal environment can juggle competing priorities and communicate clearly with drivers dock teams customers and internal operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

• Coordinate afternoon pickups and deliveries to support service commitments and linehaul schedules
• Dispatch drivers efficiently using available equipment customer requirements and routing constraints
• Monitor service performance address exceptions and escalate issues when needed
• Communicate with customers regarding ETAs changes delays and appointment updates
• Ensure accurate shipment documentation scan or record PODs and maintain clear operational notes
• Support dock and terminal coordination including door planning and end-of-shift handover
• Follow safety compliance and operational procedures consistently
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• 3-5 years of dispatch experience in a LTL transportation environment (Strong preference)
• Understanding of pickup and delivery operations appointment freight and service expectations
• Comfortable working with dispatch or transportation software (AS400 is an asset not required)
• Capability to perform moderate physical tasks and adapt to various work environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills calm under pressure and able to make quick discussions
• Strong communication skills with a professional customer service approach
• Solid computer skills (MS Office email and basic reporting)

• Shift start time is 2:00 PM - may require some flexibility to start earlier or later
• Salary $50000 - $60000
