About this role:

The Territory Sales Leader (TSL) ensures flawless execution of store‑level sales and promotional plans with customer retailers across the assigned territory. This territory consists of high‑volume food chain grocers and mass merchandiser TSL drives incremental sales by executing retail strategies, maintaining 100% distribution of authorized Hershey items, ensuring best‑in‑class merchandising, and developing strong customer relationships. The role utilizes data‑driven insights, pre‑call planning, and consultative selling techniques to influence Key Decision Makers (KDMs), improve store performance, and maximize merchandising opportunities.

What will you do:

  • Build and maintain strong consultative business relationships with Key Decision Makers (KDMs) to execute detailed action plans that improve sales results
  • Prepare for retail sales calls by analyzing relevant store, product, and market data to create effective selling tools and presentations
  • Engage in consultative selling techniques to secure incremental orders, optimize product placement, and maximize promotional opportunities
  • Execute the Retail Execution Plan by maintaining permanent secondary displays, addressing out‑of‑stocks, and ensuring new items are placed correctly
  • Complete all required administrative responsibilities including reporting activities, expenses, promotions, and competitive insights using approved technology
  • Territory spans multiple high‑volume chain and mass merchandise retailers with varying footprint sizes
  • Responsible for influencing, negotiating, and coaching store personnel to execute Hershey’s merchandising standards
  • Ensures strategic display placement through forward selling, relationship building, and effective communication with customers
  • Recommends strategies to improve territory efficiency and participates in advocacy partnerships as needed

What we Need:

  • Post-secondary education required
  • 1-3 years experience preferred
  • Personal auto insurance meeting minimum government liability requirements
  • Must reside within the boundaries of the assigned territory
  • Strong understanding of sales techniques within consumer‑packaged goods
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time‑management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment
  • Detail‑oriented with innovative problem‑solving skills and initiative to meet objectives
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and iPad technology
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs on a repetitive basis
  • Valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record

The anticipated base salary range for this role is from $51,934 to $64,918 per year. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of job‑related factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skill set, education, and training. In addition to a market-competitive base salary, our Total Rewards package includes performance‑based incentives and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package designed to support overall physical, mental, and financial well‑being (as applicable).
