Parkland School Division (PSD) is a large, progressive school jurisdiction serving Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Fort Chipewyan, and Parkland County. PSD meets the diverse educational needs of over 12,000 rural and urban students across 23 sites, including outreach schools and alternative education programs.

The Opportunity
As a Substitute Teacher, you are responsible for demonstrating the competencies and abilities outlined in the Alberta Education Teaching Quality Standard. You will:
Teach the programs of study
Differentiate and adapt the curriculum for all learners
Collaborate with staff to create a welcoming, safe, and respectful environment for every student
Qualifications
Bachelor of Education
Excellent classroom management skills
Ability to work in multi-graded classrooms
A history of working collaboratively with colleagues
NVCI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) is an asset
Effective technology integration skills
Familiarity with Google Classroom is an asset
Strong differentiation skills
Alberta Teaching Certificate
Clear understanding of Inclusive Education
Once hired, this position also requires:
An original copy of a current clean criminal record check (with vulnerable sector - dated within the last 6 months)
An original copy of a child intervention record check (dated within the last 6 months)
