Senior Geotechnical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geotechnical Group and support both operational and technical delivery across infrastructure, building, and land development projects.

This role involves a combination of laboratory testing oversight, field investigations, reporting, design review, client coordination, and project financial support.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine soil samples and perform soil/rock testing
• Prepare borehole logs and provide technical services in a laboratory environment
• Review geotechnical reports including factual reports and design recommendations
• Utilize geotechnical design software such as GeoStudio, Rocscience, and gINT
• Work with municipalities and regulatory authorities such as MNR and TRCA
• Perform soil mechanics analyses and foundation engineering design
• Support projects across infrastructure, mid/high-rise buildings, and subdivisions
• Prepare monthly project financial health reports and assist with billing, utilization, and P&L tracking
• Provide strategic support to the Geotechnical Division
• Participate in business development, proposals, and client presentations
• Conduct tasks from proposal stage through site investigation, testing, supervision, and reporting
• Collaborate within a team on geotechnical assessments
• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver projects within time and budget

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience
• MSc or MEng
• Strong supervisory and communication skills
• Experience with GeoStudio, Rocscience, and gINT
