We’re a warm, easygoing family in Toronto looking for a reliable, caring nanny with experience in infant and toddler care. Our daughter is 16 months old—she’s curious, active, and a lot of fun. **The Role** Our daughter typically attends daycare, but we are looking for a go-to person for on-call and as-needed support. This includes: - Daycare closures or snow days. - Care when she is mildly ill and cannot attend daycare. - Occasional weekend care. Important: Weekday needs can arise with short notice (sometimes only a few hours), while weekends usually have more lead time. **Requirements & Logistics** We want to be transparent about our needs to ensure a good fit. Please only inquire if the following works for you: Location: You are able and willing to travel to the Jane/Bloor area. We are about a 10 minute walk from Jane subway station. Commitment: You acknowledge this is a part-time, as-needed role rather than a set schedule. We are hoping to build an ongoing relationship with someone we can call on regularly. The Environment: Both parents work from home. We need someone comfortable taking the lead with our daughter’s routines while we are in our home offices. Pets: We have two low-maintenance cats. They don’t require care, but they will be in the house! You can give them attention if you want, or you can ignore them. Up to you, depending on how you feel about cats. **Compensation & Expectations** Pay: Around $25/hour, flexible based on experience and availability. Responsibilities: Keeping our daughter safe, engaged, and happy with age-appropriate play, snacks/meals, and nap routines.
