The City of Abbotsford is looking for creative and caring individuals with a keen interest in recreation, the outdoors, and a passion for working with children. This is a seasonal position for the duration of our Summer Camps, up to 40 Hours a week dependent on program registration. The term of the position is 10 weeks, beginning June 23, and ending Aug 29, .
The purpose of this position is to support summer camp children with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities with participating in a variety of activities during their enrollment in our summer day camps. In the role, the Summer Camp Support Leader works with the Summer Camp Programmer & Summer Camp Supervisor to create a supportive and inclusive camp experience. The Summer Camp Support Leader works one-on-one with a child who requires additional support during their days in camps.

The applicant/incumbent will be required to provide a satisfactory criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector Screening in order to work in this position and must report to their manager if any criminal charges are laid against them that may be related to their employment.

Salary: $21.34 - $25.11 per hour, plus the appropriate percentage in lieu of benefits.
