Location: Guelph, ON - On site Hourly: $18.70/HR

Shift: Days: 7:15 AM - 3:15 PM

We are searching for Casual Operators for our Guelph location. The hours of work flex during the year and during June and July are very limited. You can expect 37.5 hours/week until the end of April. The hours drop to part-time for May onwards.

About the Role:

The Operator is responsible for job rotation of intake, processing, and preparing of new and reused products. Reporting to the Shift Lead, the incumbent will handle scanning, sorting, and labeling of incoming products.

Key Responsibilities:

General

• Rotate to various areas; Scan, wash, and dry returned (dirty) products
• Sort products based on size, scan into box, and package
• Label new inventory and repackage into box
• Prepare orders and organize inventory
• Clean work area daily including sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces
• Duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Secondary school diploma
• Perform job rotation to all areas as required.
• Able to take initiative and work individually.
• Able to work within a team environment.
• Able to adapt to varying responsibilities.
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.

Working Conditions:

• The facility can be subject to temperature fluctuations. Food residue and odours.

Physical Requirements

• Strength Guidelines
• CSA approved Safety Shoes are required for the position.
• Must be able to lift a 30lbs box.
• Must have good hand/eye coordination. Testing will be required.
• Motion parameters.
• Must be able to stand throughout an 8 hour shift involving twisting, and lifting.
• Vision and Hearing Requirements
• May be required to use a computer or tablet throughout the shift.
• Psychological Demands
• Must be able to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
