Status: Temporary Full-Time

Position Summary:
The student will compile the data from the ECG clinical physician-obtained reads and the machine learning-based interpretations. They will collate the data, prepare spreadsheets of the results, and conduct statistical analyses including correlation analyses, Altman-Bland plots, chi-square analyses, and assessment of intraclass correlation coefficients as appropriate. The student will work with a team on an innovative study in heart failure and gain practical research experience in a healthcare setting

Duties:

• Developing data management and preparation skills by compiling data from various sources, ensuring accuracy
• Identifying and apply appropriate statistical methods to complete study objectives
• Collaborating with other team members to help interpret statistical outcomes
• Summarizing and communicating study findings to a broader audience
• The student will present the results of their findings at an end-of-summer presentation.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in: Life Science
• Course work completed in one or more of the following: Statistics or Biostatistics, Physiology or Human Biology (preferred but not required)
• Experience working with datasets and completing statistical analysis (through coursework or job experience)
• Attention to detail
• Willingness to develop research skills
• Ability to work well individually and with a team
• Interest in clinical research and statistical analysis
