Location: Montreal (Day 1 onboarding onsite / in office presence 3x week)

Role Type: Application support on infrastructure support--Engineer role not a developer role.
Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day handling of incidents, escalations, and problem and change management.
- Application server administration.
- Technical troubleshooting of infrastructure and user incidents.
- Server and application deployments and task automation.
- Availability for weekend and on-call work on a rotation basis.
Requirements:
Required Skills:
- Experience in troubleshooting server and infrastructure applications.
- Strong UNIX/Linux knowledge, including understanding application, hardware, and operating system interactions.
- Strong system administration experience.
- Strong experience in Unix Shell.
- Knowledge and experience with either Perl or Python programming.
- Knowledge of HTTP, SQL, Databases.
- Handling of escalations, change, incident and problem management.
- Effective oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Knowledge of SDLC.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in supporting desktop applications.
- Knowledge and experience in storage systems (SAN, NAS).
- Experience working with relational databases (Sybase, DB2, MSSQL).
- DevOps knowledge.
- Agile knowledge.
- Python, Bash, Perl, Powershell scripting.
- Cloud database knowledge: Snowflake, AZURE SQL.
