About this role

We are recruiting for a Controls Service Technician to join our Burnaby or Victoria office. Here's how your role will strengthen our team.

In this role, you will work with project managers, design team & field staff to develop system designs, including producing shop drawings, programming, graphics and commissioning building automation control systems.


Your responsibilities

  • Engineering, programming, and commissioning of building automation systems
  • Integrating various systems such as chillers, boilers, and lighting panels
  • Data acquisition
  • Handle calibration of temperature and humidity sensors
  • Train building operators
  • Select and size control equipment to meet project requirements

Your experience and skills

  • 3+ years direct experience designing HVAC systems
  • 2 years' experience in onsite commissioning of HVAC control systems
  • Experience in the use of MS-Visio/MS-Office & & mechanical design package tools such as Auto Cad, and Solid Works
  • Experience with networking, setting up windows server, configuring routers and switches
  • Knowledge of control system design and electrical control system wiring methods
  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree/Diploma
  • Working knowledge of Reliable Control and/or Schneider EcoStruxure product, an asset
  • Well organized team player with strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Able to speak, read and write English fluently, flexible and able to multi-task in a changing, fast-paced environment

Salary range: $55,000-$90,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will commensurate with experience, skills and overall match to the position offered. Let's chat throughout the hiring process and determine the best fit.
