The Opportunity!

As a Senior Commercial Insurance Advisor, you will interact with commercial clients, maintain professional business relationships with new and existing clients and insurers and manage an entire book of business. The Senior Commercial Insurance Advisor reviews and prepares the commercial client files, leads marketing efforts, and while evaluating and pricing the insured’s risk.

A day in the life -

  • Provide exceptional client care as primary client service contact

  • Respond to client requests directly (or indirectly from Account Executive and/or Marketer), compiling information and submitting information to appropriate insurance companies and binding coverage where appropriate

  • Participate in formal account reviews; assisting in account rounding and working diligently to provide value-added services for clients

  • Prepare submissions in Policy Works and EPIC

  • Attend client meetings with Producer, when required

  • Prepare proposals, cover notes, client correspondence, certificates, and invoices as per agency standards

  • Assist Account Teams with various administrative function

  • Handling of complex policies including cross-border policies

  • Review and prioritize all assigned tasks on a daily basis including, company mail, emails, abeyances/activities

  • Maintain accuracy of electronic files that may be housed in EPIC, Policy Works, Certificate Exchange and physical files as per agency standards

  • Manage the Marketing of accounts to include new, renewal, and midterm changes

  • Collect data from the client, create an expert submission to be presented, negotiate suitable rates and coverages with company underwriters, present account executives with best programs, and bind coverage.

  • Provide training and guidance to new Insurance Advisors on the team

  • Other responsibilities as needed

What you will bring to our team -

  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal), present, and influence credibly at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to deliver measurable results to Producers and clients

  • Minimum 5-7 years of commercial insurance experience

  • Level 2 Insurance License required

  • Commercial bonding experience required

  • Experience with marketing and managing client contacts within an existing book of business

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills

  • Proactive, self-starter who is confident working independently

  • Keen attention to detail with a solutions-oriented mindset

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment

  • Team player who is motivated to support and contribute to a diverse team

Salary Expectations –

The expectedsalary rangefor this position is$70,000 to $90,000and will beimpactedby factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope, and level.
