Canada Impact+ Research Chairs (CIRC) – Automation and Industry AI
The Canada Impact+ Research Chairs program is a one‑time initiative designed to attract world‑leading researchers to address critical national and global challenges. Chairs receive long‑term funding and institutional support for transformative projects in Canada’s strategic priority areas, build exceptional research teams, collaborate across sectors and borders, and translate discoveries into societal and economic benefits.
Ontario Tech University invites applications for a full‑time faculty position in the field of automation and industry AI with expertise in advanced manufacturing, dual‑use technology, or mining applications. The role will be part of a tenured or tenure‑track appointment, contingent upon funding. Salary will reflect experience and qualifications, with base ranges of $153,000–$173,000 for an associate professor and $178,000–$198,000 for a professor.

Position falls within the bargaining unit represented by the UOIT Faculty Association and is subject to the collective agreement. Starting salary will be commensurate with experience; annual increases follow the agreement terms.
