Salary range (but not limited to):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
About the role
We’re looking for an Accounting Service Representative to join our growing team with Nordic Insurance.
What you’ll do here:
Accurately process and verify payments received, reconcile bank deposits and verify deposit totals.
Prepare, compile and dispatch invoices, statements, reports and cheques.
Record and post broker billing statements and payments in the payment register and accounting systems.
Reconcile basic accounts and resolve outstanding amounts.
Review and resolve daily cash reports, correct and adjust journal entries and process cheque requisitions.
Verify and post banking information, review new business, amend payment schedules, and process premium refunds for accounts.
Handle unresolved issues regarding payments, disbursements, billing arrangements, payment methods and account discrepancies.
Assist with queue calls periodically
What you bring to the table:
College Diploma in accounting (asset) or any combination of equivalent education and experience
At least 1 year experience in a similar role
Customer service experience
Can consistently perform at a superior level with respect to both the accuracy and volume of work completed
Effective communications skills with an emphasis on customer service
Strong computer skills or training with standard office applications including strong data entry skills
Bilingualism in French and English will be considered an asset.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
