About Offworld:

Offworld Industries Ltd. (Offworld) is the independent studio behind the successful military first-person shooter game, Squad. Offworld was formed in 2014 by more than 15 developers who had worked together on the well-known Project Reality mod for Battlefield 2. The founding purpose of the team was to bring a standalone successor of this acclaimed mod to market and build a game development studio and a livelihood from that foundation.

Fast forward to 2026, Offworld has almost 140 employees and is rapidly growing. We have been expanding the studio into serving as a publisher supporting mods and have released our newest title, "Starship Troopers: Extermination", a 16-player PvE first-person shooter based on the 1997 cult-classic film.

We are looking for a talented Senior 3D Generalist for our current and upcoming Unreal Engine based multiplayer games. About the role:

As a Senior 3D Generalist at Offworld Industries you will play a crucial role in shaping the visual elements of our projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating detailed and immersive 3D assets, with a focus on weapons, characters, and environments.

Job Duties:

• Create clear and structured documentation for outsourced tasks
• Update and maintain workflow documentation in line with the companys latest methods and standards
• Review outsourced work and provide clear, actionable feedback
• Manage and maintain asset integration and delivery across multiple outsource teams
• 3D Asset Creation: Design and produce high-quality 3D assets, including environments, weapons, and characters, adhering to project specifications and artistic direction.
• Texturing and Shading: Apply textures and shaders to enhance the visual appeal of 3D assets, ensuring they align with the overall art style of the project.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the art, design, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of 3D assets into the game or project.
• Optimization: Implement best practices for asset optimization to ensure optimal performance in real-time environments, particularly in Unreal Engine or equivalent tech.
• Problem-Solving: Address and resolve artistic challenges and technical issues related to 3D asset creation and integration.
• Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of workflows, processes, and techniques for future reference. Integrating third-party SDKs and Unreal Engine updates
  
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a 3D Generalist with a portfolio showcasing proficiency in creating environments, weapons, and characters.
• Strong skills in 3D modeling, texturing, and shading using industry-standard software (e.g., Maya, 3ds Max, ZBrush, Substance Painter).
• Extensive experience working with Unreal Engine or similar tech, and a solid understanding of its capabilities and workflows.
• Solid understanding of PBR (Physically Based Rendering) principles and their application in game development.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to evolving project requirements.

Bonus Skills:

• Animation/rigging knowledge

This is a full-time, fixed-term 12-month contract position, with the requirement to work from our office three days per week. There is the possibility of an extension or transition to a permanent role based on the needs of the business.

The typical salary range for this position is$85,000 - $105,000 CADper year and is subject to change. The final agreed upon salary is based on work location and may vary depending on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
