As part of the PRISM Release Engineering team, you’ll collaborate with globally distributed R&D teams to develop impactful solutions, streamline processes, and deliver world-class tools and services. How You Will Contribute:

Develop tools and services to enhance efficiency for globally distributed R&D teams.

Build and support software solutions leveraging Linux, Docker, and Cloud technologies.

Create scalable applications using Java (Spring/Hibernate), Python, and shell scripting.

Design intuitive web interfaces with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, AngularJS, and REST APIs.

Manage robust backend systems with databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.

Implement deployment solutions using Docker, OpenStack, and Ansible.

Ensure seamless collaboration with Git and Perforce version control systems.

Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment across global locations.

Self-driven with a strong initiative and ownership mindset.

Excellent communication skills to engage with cross-functional teams.

Analytical problem-solving skills with a passion for tackling complex challenges.

Eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Perl, and shell scripting.

Strong command of Linux operating systems and version control systems like Git and Perforce.

Nice to Haves:

Experience with web technologies, including HTML5, AngularJS, and REST APIs.

Familiarity with database management systems like Oracle and PostgreSQL.

Knowledge of deployment tools such as Docker, OpenStack, and Ansible.

Background in scalable application development using Spring and Hibernate frameworks.

Expertise in designing user-friendly web interfaces and APIs.

Exposure to automation tools and practices in a DevOps environment.

Understanding of Cloud technologies and distributed systems.

Pay Range:
The hourly pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00

Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.
