The City of Medicine Hat is hiring Hospitality Worker II's to support food and beverage service at our premier facilities. This casual, event-based role is perfect for outgoing, reliable individuals who enjoy working as part of a team to create outstanding guest experiences.

This recruitment will be used to fill current vacancies and to establish a talent pool of qualified candidates who may be considered for future opportunities as they arise.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidates will be flexible and be available to work a casual schedule, including evening and weekend shifts.
• Hospitality Worker II: As a Hospitality Worker II, you\'ll serve alcohol, handle cash transactions, and provide mentorship to Hospitality Worker I team members. Your professionalism and customer service sets the tone for every guest interaction.
• You could work in following roles:
• Concession Cashier: Process guest orders and cash/credit transactions; serve food and alcohol according to AGLC regulations.
• Premium Seating Server: Deliver alcohol, food, and drinks to premium guests (Suites, Loges, VIP areas) and cash handling.
• Bartender: Serve alcoholic beverages while managing setup, stocking, and cash handling.
• Porter: Transfer products from storage to service areas, assist with restocking and setup, and ensure accurate inventory.
• Kitchen/Concession Cook: Prepare, cook, and plate food items according to AHS food handling standards and event demands.

Qualifications

• Must be legally permitted to serve alcohol in Alberta
• Successful completion or ability to obtain Alberta ProServe certification.
• Successful completion or ability to obtain Food Safe certification.
• Experience in food and beverage or customer service is an asset.
• Competitive rate of pay: Starting at $17.00/hr.
