Job description
About the role: We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Leader to lead a large-scale, high-profile Enterprise I&IT initiative with one of our public sector client. This role requires a seasoned project management professional with extensive experience delivering complex enterprise technology projects from initiation through implementation. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of large-scale enterprise I&IT projects.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues, and overall project governance.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, risk logs, issue logs, change requests, and executive reporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and executive leadership to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and provide recommendations to support project planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet business requirements while adhering to timelines, scope, quality standards, and budget.
  • Identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Must-Have Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience managing large-scale Enterprise I&IT projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues, and project governance.
  • 10+ years of experience creating and maintaining project documentation, including project plans, status reports, governance documents, and executive presentations.
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Project Management methodologies and I&IT project management frameworks.
  • Experience working within enterprise technical environments, including:
    • Oracle Database
    • Unix (Solaris, AIX, Linux)
    • Windows Server
    • Oracle WebLogic
    • Microsoft IIS
    • Mainframe Applications
  • Experience performing cost-benefit analysis and supporting project business cases.
  • Experience using project management and documentation tools to create, distribute, and maintain project deliverables.
Nice to Have
  • Experience delivering projects within the Ontario Public Service (OPS) or other public sector organizations.
  • Familiarity with OPS policies, governance frameworks, and project delivery standards.
