Journeyperson / Apprentice Pipefitters

We are accepting applications for Journeyperson / Apprentice Pipefitters to join our team for upcoming and potential projects in Timmins, ON. In this role, you will lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for oil, steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial production and processing systems.

Responsibilities

• Commitment to workplace safety and ethical work practices
• Work with, lead and motivate workers under their supervision and that they work around.
• Organize self and crew to meet expectations in a safe, professional, and timely manner.
• Maintain a strong safety presence and follow SRG's Safety Management Program
• Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading valves, and fittings.
• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
• Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
• Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
• Follow SRG and Client policies & procedures.
