Intermediate Development Manager – Kelowna, BC
Salary: ~$120,000 (flexible for the right candidate)
MatchBox is partnering with a well-established real estate development group in Kelowna to recruit an Intermediate Development Manager. This is a stand-alone role with meaningful responsibility and direct exposure to senior leadership.
The Role
Reporting primarily to a senior development lead, with some interaction with the managing partner, this role will support early-stage development activities across a growing portfolio. The focus is on financial analysis, municipal coordination, and advancing projects through feasibility and entitlements.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain development pro formas and financial models
Support feasibility analysis and investment decision-making
Coordinate with the City, consultants, and external stakeholders
Oversee early site planning, rezoning applications, and bylaws
Assist with negotiating and managing municipal and waterfront/foreshore leases
Track approvals, timelines, and key development milestones
About You
Background in finance, accounting, development, or a related discipline
Comfortable owning pro formas and financial analysis
Exposure to municipal processes, rezoning, or land use approvals is an asset
Organized, independent, and able to operate in a lean environment
Strong communicator with confidence working directly with senior leadership
Additional Notes
This is an intermediate-level role with room to grow
Likely no formal relocation allowance, though local or already-relocating candidates are preferred
Compensation may flex for a candidate with stronger experience
