Job description
We're looking for a part-time, live-out nanny and house manager for our two children (4 and 5) in Kingston. Must have a car and be able to drive as we live a bit out of town, and would be looking for periodic pickup / driving kids to activities. We'd also like you to be able to do housekeeping and management when not with the kids -- light housekeeping like laundry and tidying, ordering or picking up groceries. The primary responsibilities include caring for the children -- ideally engaging in fun and educational activities, including outdoor play, and avoiding screentime (both for the kids and the caretaker) during hours spent with them. The caretaking will include driving the kids, such as picking up from school and/or activities. Additionally, light housekeeping duties and meal preparation will be required. Ideally this is also someone who would be comfortable with a periodic overnight or two. Range of compensation is around $20-25 per hour. If you have extensive experience and referrals, we can discuss the rate. We'd be looking for 2-3 afternoons/evening midweek, and sometimes a shift on the weekends (pre planned / arranged together) The ideal candidate is trustworthy, patient, and able to provide a safe, fun and nurturing environment for our children. Someone who can become a part of our family. While we need help with the kids, we mostly need someone who can help us with what the day needs so that we can have more dedicated and fun time with the kids ourselves.
